Ebtekar Urges Engagement Of Iraqi Women In Environmental Programs

Tehran, Feb 2, IRNA – Presidential Advisor and Head of Department of Environment Masoumeh Ebtekar urged Iraqi women to further engage in environmental projects. She made the remarks in a meeting with Iraqi Minister of Women Affairs Ibtihal al-Zaidi in Baghdad Saturday evening. She hoped for contribution of Iraqi women in such environmental projects like forestation and voiced Iranˈs readiness to provide training and know-how to Iraq in this connection. The Iraqi minister pointed to harsh conditions prevailing her country in the past decades and said the country has still a long way to make improvements in environment protection field. She welcomed any training or education in line with the empowerment of Iraqi women to contribute to environment protection./end
