Iran-Georgia Discuss Environmental Co-op

Baku, Sept 9, IRNA -- Vice President and Head of the Environment Protection Organization Mohammad Javad Mohammadi Zadeh and Georgia’s Minister of the Environment Protection George Zediginidze discussed bilateral environmental cooperation in Tbilisi on Saturday. Scientific and educational cooperation, exchange of experiences on new developments, Climatic changes, management of coasts, strengthening sea reservoirs, and prevention of sea pollution were among topics discussed by the two officials . The Georgian minister, for his part, said his country stood ready to cooperate with Iran on the environmental issues and use Iran’s experiences in this regard. He said with signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on environmental cooperation, a new chapter will begin in the two countries’ bilateral relations./end
