Klyuchevskoy volcano spews ash to 5.5 km in air - KVERT

PETROPAVLOVSK-KAMCHATSKY, July 24. /TASS/. The Klyuchevskoy volcano in Russia’s Far East has spewed ash to the height up to 5.5 km above the seal level, the Kamchatka Volcanic Eruption Response Team (KVERT) told TASS on Monday. "The Klyuchevskoy volcano spewed ash to the height up to 5.5 km above the sea level. The ash plume spread 45 km to the east - northeast direction from the volcano to the Ozerny Bay area," the expert said. No ash falls were registered in settlements of the Ust-Kamchatka District. There are no international airplane routes in the Klyuchevskoye volcano area. The Shiveluch volcano near the Klyuchevskoy volcano also spewed ash earlier today, KVERT said. --0--** Read more
