Moderate Earthquake Hits Northeast Of Taichung, Taiwan

KUALA LUMPUR, April 28 (Bernama) -- A moderate earthquake measuring 5.6 on the Richter scale hit Northeast of Taichung, Taiwan, at 11.17 pm Wednesday. The Malaysian Meteorological Department in a statement said the quake's epicentre was 2,001 km northeast of Kudat, Sabah. The earthquake did not pose a tsunami threat, it added. -- BERNAMA
