Moderate Earthquake Strikes Sulawesi In Indonesia

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 7 (Bernama) -- A moderate earthquake, with a magnitude of 5.3 on the Ritcher scale, struck Sulawesi, Indonesia at 5.42pm Wednesday, according to the Malaysian Meteorological Department. It said in a statement that the epicentre of the quake was 90 kilometres west of Palopo City, South Sulawesi at a depth of 10 km. The quake did not pose any threat of a tsunami to Malaysia, it said. --BERNAMA
