Moderate Quake Hits Southwest China

BEIJING, March 30 (Bernama) -- A moderate 5.5-magnitude quake struck Jianhe county in southwest China's Guizhou province Monday, Xinhua news agency reported. Citing the statement released by the Earthquake Networks Center, it said the quake with a depth of 7.0 km, hit the county at 9.47 am at 26.6 degrees north latitude and 108.8 degrees east longitude. So far there were no reports of any damage or casualty due to the quake. -- BERNAMA
