SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE ON CULTURAL HERITAGE RUNS

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A scientific conference themed "Reservation and protection of tangible and non-tangible cultural heritage of Mongolia: Urgent problems" ran on Wednesday in Ulaanbaatar. It was co-organized by the Department of Anthropology and Archeology at the Mongolian State University (MSU), the Center for Cultural Heritage, the General Authority of Archive and the Mongolian National Museum, with a support of the Mongolian National Commission for UNESCO and the Section of Cultural Heritage of the Department of Cultural Policy and Regulation at the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sciences. The conference aims to have experts from relevant state and international organizations, NGOs and groups exchanged views on protection of cultural heritage and to formulate a general program, recommendation and proposals on future activities for saving cultural heritage. The gathered discussed state policy on the cultural heritage, analyzed activities of institutions running academic works on cultural heritage, and also present situation with heritage protection.
