Strong Quake Strikes Greece

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 26 (Bernama) -- A strong earthquake with a magnitude of 6.8 on the Richter scale struck Greece early Friday, according to the Malaysian Meteorological Department. It said in a statement that the quake epicentre was at the Ionian Sea, 129 km southwest of Patrai, Greece and at depth of 10 km. There is no tsunami threat to Malaysia, according to the statement. -- BERNAMA
