Malaysian Pilgrims Fund Board Committed To Raising Haj Pilgrims Satisfaction Index

From Mohd Shukri Ishak MAKKAH, Aug 26 (Bernama) -- Malaysian Pilgrims Fund Board (Tabung Haji or TH) is committed to further improving its services for Malaysian Haj pilgrims through various enhancement programmes. TH senior general manager, Syed Saleh Syed Abdul Rahman said last year, the Haj Pilgrims Satisfaction Index (IKJH) stood at 86 per cent. "In 1435H (2014), TH had set a target of 85 per cent for IKJH but it reached 86 per cent, which exceeded the target," he said at the familiarisation programme for Malaysian pilgrims with the Southeast Asian Muassasah, here, Tuesday. The IKJH data had been collected through survey forms distributed to the Haj pilgrims. He said the IKJH effort was in line with TH's quality policy and client's charter in its continuous effort to improve its services. He said among the improvements made by TH this year were in preparing the guidelines for Haj pilgrims, counselling services, the introduction of colour coding for each hostel and new information technology system development. Besides that, TH has also enhanced its dental services, issued brochures for the pilgrims' reference and introduced a new tagline to be internalised by the pilgrims, namely 'my presence is for the sake of Ar Rahman'. In another development, Syed Saleh said as of Tuesday, 6,144 Malaysian pilgrims had arrived in the Holy Land of Makkah and Madinah and they were reported to be in good condition. Meanwhile, the Southeast Asian Muassasah chief, Muhammad Amin Hassan Andargiri, who was also present at the event, said it was willing to enhance cooperation with TH in improving the welfare, safety and movement of Malaysian Haj pilgrims. -- BERNAMA
