MediaCorp To Broadcast Lee's National Day Rally 2015 Speech 'Live' For S'pore, Worldwide Audience

By Tengku Noor Shamsiah Tengku Abdullah SINGAPORE, Aug 18 (Bernama) -- Come Sunday, MediaCorp will broadcast Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong's National Day Rally 2015 speech 'live' from 6.45pm on TV, radio and online for a worldwide audience for free. The broadcast will be on MediaCorp’s over-the-top video service Toggle and Channel NewsAsia website. In a statement, MediaCorp said there would be two parts to the speech. Part 1: 6.45pm to 7.30pm – Lee will deliver his speech first in Malay, then in Mandarin. Part 2: 8pm to 10pm – Lee will deliver his speech in English. The prime minister's speech will be voiced-over only during the speeches when it is different from the language of the channel and station. For Vasantham and Oli 96.8FM, the broadcast will be completely voiced-over in Tamil. The online community in Singapore and overseas will be able to watch the simulcast of the Rally ‘live’ on http://toggle.sg/ndp2015 from 6.45pm or via the Toggle apps (available on selected iOS and Android devices, selected smart TVs and xbox) and channelnewsasia.com/nd2015 from 8pm. Viewers who miss the 'live' broadcast may visit the sites or toggle apps again for catch-up and video on demand clips. All platforms will broadcast at 6.45pm, except Channel NewsAsia which will only broadcast the second part at 8pm. --BERNAMA
