Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology has reported that maximum precipitation (14.7 mm) was recorded in Kharhorin soum, Ovorkhangai aimag this February. Omnogobi aimag’s Khanbogd soum had the highest air temperature (+11.4°C), whereas the lowest (-47.0°C) was recorded in Tsetsen-Uul and Otgon soums of Zavkhan aimag. A wind speed reached 28 m/sec in Kharhorin soum, Ovorkhangai aimag. Daily average concentration of nitrogen dioxide exceeded 27 times around the West crossroad, 23 times around the 32nd Circle, 18 times around the 13th micro district and 1st micro district of Ulaanbaatar city. Daily average concentration of sulphur dioxide exceeded 28 times around the 32nd Circle, 24 times around the West crossroad and 1st micro district. Particulate matter less than 10 micrograms exceeded 28 times around the 32nd Circle, 26 times around the “Kharkhorin” market, 25 times around the West crossroad. Particulate matter less than 2.5 micrograms exceeded 18 times around the 13th micro district, 15 times around the West crossroad. Carbon dioxide exceeded from the maximum allowable concentration of air quality standard in February, 2014.
