‘Blue gold’ documentary premiered at the UN Headquarters

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Permanent Mission of Mongolia to the United Nations and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) hosted the opening of the ‘Blue gold’ documentary on climate change in Mongolia at the UN Headquarters on September 27. The documentary was created by jointly the UNDP, Government of Mongolia and Raw Cinematics. Founder of the Raw Cinematics Daniel Price said that it was intended to depict the climate change, its impact on human and environment in connection with inappropriate use of coal, its negative impact on water and lifestyles, particularly on livelihood of herders. Foreign Minister of Mongolia D.Tsogtbaatar, Assistant Secretary General of the UN and Director of the Regional Bureau for Asia and Pacific at the UNDP Haoliang Xu, UN Resident Coordinator and UNDP Resident Representative Beate Trankmann, Director of External Affairs at the Green Climate Fund S.Oyun delivered remarks.
