‘Jamshid’ graphic novels to be published in English

Tehran, July 24, IRNA - London-based publisher Markosia will soon publish the English version of the four-volume Persian graphic novel ‘Jamshid’ written by Ashkan Rahgozar. The book will be available in bookstores in English-speaking countries, IRNA reported. Published by Hooraksh Publication, affiliated to a namesake animation studio, the graphic novels are a prelude to cinematic animation ‘The Last Fiction’. The first edition was published in 2016 and is a free interpretation of his origin story in ‘The Book of Kings’, and the second volume ‘Jamshid: Fall’, depicts the time of his decadence and downfall which was published in 2017, just ahead of the release of the film. Hoorakhsh Studios chose Jamshid’s tale to depict in graphic novel form as it is rich in story and serves as the foundation and origin story for the film ‘The Last Fiction’ and for the entire Shahnameh itself. Markosia was established in 2005 and has become one of the UK’s leading publishers of graphic novels.
