‘Rain of Ghadir’ Congress To Help Promote Communication Among World Literati : Artists

Tehran, Oct 22, IRNA – The Congress themed ‘Rain of Ghadir’ will prepare the ground for promoting communication among the men of letter and artists around the world. Secretary of the Third International Baran-e Ghadir Artistic and Literary Congress Ali Zaeri told a news conference that the congress was seeking just from the beginning to create an independent literary genre of inter-religion literary. The congress is aimed at identifying and introducing poets and researches of various faiths who have created works on Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and Imam Ali (AS), first Shiite Imam, and their infallible Household, he said, noting that preparing the ground for forging communication among the artists and men of letter is another objective of the event. While the arrogant powers are insulting Islamic sanctities, holding such events is essential, Zaeri said. Some 17 foreign poets, writers and artists are expected to attend the congress, he noted. The congress will mark the auspicious Eid ul-Ghadir feast, the day on which Imam Ali (AS) was appointed as successor to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)./end
