‘Shrimp Fair’ to be organised

BANGKOK, June 2 (TNA) - The Fisheries Department will organise a ‘Shrimp Fair’ at its headquarters in Bangkok every Wednesday this month to help shrimp farmers, affected by a drop in shrimp prices. Adisorn Promthep, director-general of the department said his department will offer space its premises for shrimp raisers to sell fresh shrimps to consumers. Initially, more than one ton of shrimp will be sold for 200 baht per kilogrmame at the fair each week. Delicious food made from sea shrimps will be available at the event. There will also be cooking demonstrations for shrimp menus.The ‘Shrimp Fair’ will open on June 6-7 and every Wednesday thereafter at the Fisheries Department.
