“Endorphin” receives special mention at Locarno filmfest

TEHRAN,Aug.20(MNA) -- Iranian director Reza Gamini’s “Endorphin” received a special mention at the 66th Locarno International Film Festival, which was held in Switzerland from August 7 to 17. “Endorphin” was screened at the Pardi di domani section, which is dedicated to shorts and medium-length films by young independent directors or film school students, who have not yet tried their hand at feature films. The film is about a man who loses his family in a car crash and locks himself up at home. After more than a month he decides to go out and leave the house and return to life again. The Golden Leopard Prize of the festival went to the Spanish-French film “Historia de la Meva Mort” (“Story of My Death”) directed by Albert Serra. “E Agora? Lembra-me” (“What now? Remind Me”) by Portuguese documentarian Joaquim Pinto won the Jury Special Prize.
