“Mongolian Miners” partnership will extract coal from West Tsankhi site

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Mongolia plans to extract and export some two million tons of coal from the West Tsankhi site of the Tavantolgoi deposit in Omnogobi province. The "Mongolian Miners" partnership at the "Mongolian National Extractor" has won a bid for executing this work under one-year term, the Mining Ministry reported Monday. The partnership will extract coal for MNT 8,838 per square meter and launch the extraction this August. The tender took place among partnerships "Mongolian National Extractor", "Absolute Mining", "Eibir Digm Mongol Last" and "Monlaa" companies; the "Tavantolgoi Trans", "Khishig Arvin Industrial", "Mera" and "Mongol-999" consortiums. At a first round, a partnership of the "Absolute Mining", "Eibir Digm Mongol Last" and "Monlaa" failed. The "Mongoian Miners" partnership offered highest price but its having national companies with national capital has become a big advantage.
