“Thousand and one nights” ballet staged as part of 3rd International Mugham Festival

Baku, March 11 (AzerTAc). "Thousand and one nights" by great Azerbaijani composer Fikrat Amirov was staged at the Azerbaijani State Opera and Ballet Theatre on Sunday as part of the 3rd International Mugham Festival “World of Mugham”. Shahrizad was played by Nigar Ibrahimova, while Shayriyar by Honorary Artist Islam Islamov. The festival that will last till March 19 is co-organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Union of Azerbaijani Composers. The event brings together representatives from a number of countries, including the US, Turkey, China, Iran, Uzbekistan, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, and Morocco.
