10 Tons Of Narcotic Drugs Seized In Various Provinces

Tehran, Jan 4, IRNA – The Intelligence Ministry personnel recently managed to confiscate more than 10 tons of narcotic drugs from nine gangs in different provinces of the country, according to the Intelligence Ministry website. The website reported on Tuesday that 38 smugglers were arrested, four killed in ambush operations and a large number of fire arms seized. It said the smugglers, backed by international drug smuggling gangs, used many tactics to transfer and distribute the illicit drugs in the country. It added that the gangs were busted in provinces of Sistan-Baluchestan, Kerman, Yazd, Hormuzgan, Isfahan, West Azarbaijan, Alborz and Tehran./end
