15 Crewmen Of Sinking Boat Reported Missing Off Karawang

Karawang, W Java, Oct 22 (Antara) - A freighter has capsized in the Java sea off Karawang, West Java, and all 15 crewmen of the ill fated boat were missing, police said. Karawang coast guard officer police commissioner Mugi Raharjo said the LCT Duta Anugrah Perdana was found capsized around 25 kilometers from the coast on Tuesday. Mugi said the 50 meter long and 10 meter wide boat was believed to meet the accident on Monday. He could not give further details about the accident and the cargoes. "The cause of the accident was not known yet," he said. The authorities are still searching for the 15 missing crewmen.
