2 Iranian films selected for British Film Festival

Bushehr, May 11, IRNA – Two short and documentary films by 'Hamid Haghjoo' Iranian filmmaker from Bushehr were selected for the 'Lift-Off Sessions' Film Festival in London. 'The short film directed by Hamid Haghjoo, AFI Viper, and the short documentary 'Desert and the Sea' will be featured Calcutta International Cult Film Festival, Lift Off Sessions and will be featured at the closing ceremony of this festival,' head of Iranian youth cinema society in Bushehr province Abdolrahman Barzegar said on Saturday. 'The world-wide network of Lift-Off Sessions Film Festivals is held in various cities of the world, such as London, Sydney, Manchester, Melbourne, Amsterdam, Berlin, Toronto, Tokyo, Paris and New York,' he added. Barzegar added: The festival is held monthly in London and will be featured at the festival's public screenings. In one more news, Iranian short documentary ‘Reckless’ by Alireza Dehghan has been accepted into the screening program of 5th International Nature Film Festival Gödöllő in Hungary.
