25 new cases of COVID-19 detected in the capital city

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ According to the National Center for Communicable Diseases, 25 people tested positive for coronavirus after performing tests on 15,202 people nationwide yesterday, January 27. All the cases were confirmed in Ulaanbaatar city. 4 residents and a staff of the Home Owners' Association of an apartment located in Bayanzurkh district, were detected with the coronavirus when tests were carried out on 120 people. As close contact of a previously confirmed case was a staff of pizza restaurant, all the staff were involved in coronavirus tests and three people were diagnosed positive. A driver, who transported food from Ulaanbaatar to Darkhan city was diagnosed positive. He was brought to Ulaanbaatar city for the treatment. Other registered cases are close contacts of the previously confirmed case. Eight patients have made recovery and transferred into home isolation in the last 24 hours. Mongolia now has 1,692 confirmed cases of COVID-19 with 1,244 recoveries. 435 people are undergoing treatment.
