2nd day of Iran-5+1 talks begins in Almaty

Almaty, April 6, IRNA – Second day of fresh talks between Iran and the sextet- the US, UK, France, Russia, China and Germany- began here Saturday in the former Kazakh capital. Iran and the Group 5+1 held two meetings during their first day of talks on Friday. Tehran and the six world powers have already held several rounds of talks the last round of which took place in Almaty on February 26-27. Prior to Saturday talks, Secretary of Iranˈs Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Saeed Jalili and European Union foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton met and conferred. The talks focused on issues and proposals reviewed and offered during the Friday meetings.
