30% reduction on online corporate registration fees

BANGKOK, April 16 (TNA) - The Department of Business Development under the Ministry of Commerce announced that it will be allowing a 30% reduction on corporate registration made through its electronic registration system. Kulanee Issadisai, the director-general of the Department of Business Development (DBD) recently revealed the results of a World Bank survey titled 2018 Ease of Doing Business which ranked Thailand 36 out of 190 countries. Thailand was ranked 78 in 2017. Correspondingly, and to provide the ground work to foster increased investment in 2019, the DBD will be moving ahead to improve all its services including streamlining new business registration process. A one-stop registration service will be made available by May 2018, allowing new businesses to register on the DBD's e- registration system through smart devices. "A ministerial guideline is being formulated to establish a single 'flat rate' for new business registration as suggested by the World Bank. A 30% reduction on registration fees will allow substantial savings in startup overheads for businesses" said Ms. Kulanee. (TNA)
