300 Local And Foreign Participants In Ipoh International Waiters Race

IPOH (Perak, Malaysia), April 18 (Bernama) -- A total of 300 local and foreign participants are expected to take part in the Ipoh International Waiters Race at the Lost World Of Tambun (LWOT) in Ipoh, the capital of the northern Malaysian state of Perak, on May 24. The competition, which is organised by the Perak Malaysian Hotels (MAH)Association, would be held in conjunction with Ipoh City Day on May 27. MAH Organising Committee chairman Patrick Ong said the third edition competition would also involve participants from Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia and China. "This year, we are showing a difference by separating the 'classic tray, sportive tray' and 'fun tray' race categories," he said. He said this in his speech at the launching of the event by State Tourism, Arts and Culture Committee chairman Nolee Ashilin Mohammed Radzi at LWOT, on Friday. -- BERNAMA
