33rd Int’l Istanbul Book Fair kicks off

Tehran, Nov 9, IRNA – Iran's Cultural Fairs Institute (ICFI) is attending the 33rd International Istanbul Book Fair, which opened on Nov. 8. The book fair is hosting over 850 publishers from across the world, including Iran, China, Germany and Saudi Arabia. The event is running with the theme, '100 years of Turkish cinema.' This year's honorary writer is Atilla Dorsay and the state of Hungary is the book fair’s guest of honor. ICFI is attending the book fair as a representative of the Islamic Republic. The Iranian institute is displaying over 250 book titles in different fields including children, poetry, fiction, arts, Iranology, Persian-language, miniature as well as works on introduction of the Tehran International Book Fair. Besides this, a number of books by the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults (IIDCYA) and Al-hoda are being presented at the Iranian pavilion for copyright sale. ICFI will hold a session with Turk publishers who are interested in publishing Iranian works and will also unveil the Turkish rendition of Iranian novel ‘www.mosabegheh.com’. The fair starts from 10.00 a.m. to 7.00 p.m. every day until November 16./end
