38 Chinese tourists abandoned at hotel

PATTAYA, June 19 (TNA) - Chinese tourists were abandoned at a hotel in the famous resort of Pattaya before dawn Sunday following an argument with their guide. Tourist police said 38 Chinese tourists were left at the hotel in Bang Lamung district of Chon Buri province after the guide demanded extra money from them. They were found sleeping in the lobby of the hotel when tourist police arrived. Tourist police said the argument between the Chinese tourists and the guide took place after the tourists refused to pay the extra money for the service. They said the tourists bought a pre-paid package tour from a company and toured Bangkok two days before they came to Pattaya. The Chinese tourists, however, were able to check in at the hotel later. Tourist police said they would contact with the tour company and asked why the guide demanded the extra payment from the tourists. The tourists were advised to file complaints against the guide.
