3rd Int’l Seminar Titled ‘Rain of Qadir’ Planned

Tehran, Sept 23, IRNA – The third international seminar titled 'Rain of Qadir' to be attended by poets and literati from Tunisia, Lebanon, Kuwait, India and Pakistan will be held from October 27-30, said director of Arts Bureau’s public relations and international affairs department. Habib Ilbeighi added that one of the main policies of the entity is active presence in regional and international arenas. Diverse literary and artistic programs focusing on Islamic awakening have earlier been organized, he noted. The official also said that the event will probably be held in Isfahan but given the interest of the participants, Mashhad may also be chosen as the venue of the event. Various books by the noted Iranian and foreign authors will also be unveiled during the seminar, he said. Meanwhile, secretary of the seminar, Mohammad Reza Zaeri said that the event will also seek to forge interaction among various religions. “Given the global situation, today, we are more in need of understanding, and positive ties and communication,” he said. Stating that non-Muslim and non-Shiite artists have created various works on Eid Ghadir (the day when Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) proclaimed Imam Ali (AS) as his successor), he said, noting that compiling these works and setting up a databank is also another objective of the seminar. The event will also provide an opportunity for the elites to exchange views, he noted. Condemning production of the film insulting Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), Zaeri said that a Zionist current supported by the US is behind the move to insult t the Muslims. Stating that the movie presents an untrue image of the Muslims, he added that the seminar will try to attract the attentions to the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH)./end
