4.8-Magnitude Quake Hits Ngada District

KUPANG, E Nusa Tenggara, May 2 (Antara) - An earthquake measuring 4.8 on the Richter scale hit Ngada district in East Nusa Tenggara province on Monday. The epicenter of the quake which struck at 01.36 p.m. local time was located 25 km northwest of Ngada district at a depth of 197 km, Head of the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) Office in East Nusa Tenggara province, Hassanudin said. The quake did not have the potential to cause a tsunami, he added.
