690 housing units distributed

Manama, July 12 (BNA): The Housing Ministry announced that it had distributed 690 units from the Al-Lawzi housing project to beneficiaries over the past week. The move follows the order of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, to distribute 5,000 housing units, within the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to meet the citizens’ needs marking the holy month of Ramadan, and in line with the ongoing efforts of the government, led by His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, to continue implementing its action plan. In his comments, Undersecretary, Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, stressed the Housing Ministry’s commitment to distributing the 5,000 ordered by HRH the Crown Prince as soon as possible, and according to a clear schedule, noting that it has recently distributed units from the Umm Al-Hassam housing project, Khalifa Town, Salman Town, Arad project, the Buseiteen project, Bloc 609 in Sitra, the Hajiyat flats and Al-Lawzi, and will resume the distribution of the Salman Town’s units next week. He added that the unit-distribution process went on smoothly, affirming the Housing Ministry’s commitment to harnessing its potentials to complete the distribution of the 5,000 units ordered by HRH Crown Prince by the end of August. He pointed out that the Housing Ministry will receives the citizens who haven’st finalised their procdures. The Al-Lawzi housing project, he said, is a realistic translation of HM the King’s directives to build 40,000 housing units, from which the government’s commitment to constructing 25,000 units within its current action plan emanates. He pointed out that the distribution of the project’s units proves the success of the existing partnership with the private sector to address the housing issue. The undersecretary highlighted the government’s support to the Housing Ministry’s efforts, noting that the government is keen to achieve the royal directives aimed at ensuring the stability of Bahraini families through harnessing all its potentials to provide them with the requirements of decent and stable life. He extended heartfelt congratulations to all the beneficiaries, stressing the Housing Ministry’s unwavering efforts to implement housing projects across the kingdom to meet the citizens’ needs in this regard.
