Abadi Meets With Obama, King Of Jordan and Foreign Ministers Of The Gulf States, Discusses Supporting Iraq

BAGHDAD / NINA / Prime Minister Dr Haider Abadi attended a meeting in New York included President Barack Obama and Jordan's King Abdullah Bin Al Hussein and the foreign ministers of the Gulf state and discussed supporting Iraq and the emphasis on its sovereignty and territorial integrity and to stand with it in his war against terrorist (IS) and other terrorist groups. A statement from the media Office said that the meeting discussed the presence of terrorists on the territory of neighboring Syria and response to it. Abadi stressed the need for the international community to provide effective assistance to Iraq in its war against (IS) because we want a practical application for this support and not just speak. He pointed out that the terrorist organization with each passing day, recruits new terrorist groups from young people and Iraq is not ready to wait until support comes as the fighters can achieve victory in spite of the Iraqis' sacrifices they make to preserve Iraq's unity and territorial sovereignty. He explained that the region is in a state of polarization, which led to the emergence of these terrorist groups and Iraq who pays for it and we do not want to take sides with any party in this polarization, but biased to our people. Abadi expressed Iraq's desire to build good-neighborly relations with other countries and said that this is what I confirmed in the first cabinet meeting where I was to instruct the Foreign Minister to tour to open a new page of relations as the region cannot evolve and play and be able to eliminate the risk, but our solidarity and our commitment to the interests of our peoples relations excellence in the region will lead to the well-being of a large economic impact positively on their people ./ End
