About 500 cars join in ‘Prachuap Khiri Khan Rally’

TAK, Sept 19 (TNA) A two-day car rally from the Thai province of Prachuap Khiri Khan to neighbour Myanmar city of Myeik began Saturday, aimed at strengthening relations between peoples of the two countries. About 500 cars participated in the rally the first ever organised between two cities. Some parts of the total 180-kilometre route have been recently repaired to provide more convenience for motorists. The participants started their rally from Singkhon border crossing in Muang Prachuap Khiri Khan and their destination is Myeik and they would be able to learn the historical trade route between the two countries while travelling. Every participant will receive a ‘Myeik Rally’ certificate from senior officers of the two countries. (TNA)
