Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Mongolia has proven 173.3 billion tons of coal, and it is 21.5 billion tons by exploration works. By the first half of this year, some more 2.6 billion tons went in to the reserves and this made Mongolia one of the ten largest by coal countries. It was reported Wednesday at a meeting of the Professional Council of Minerals. It also discussed 81 reports on results of exploration done in a first half of 2013. According to the report, Mongolia has 7.82 tons of gold, 280.3 thousand tons of copper, 70.46 million tons of iron, 2,688.8 million tons of coal, 1.15 million tons of fluorite, 319.5 million tons of limestone, 2,403.06 thousand cubic meters of gypsum, 5,015.1 thousand cubic meters of cerolite and 4,053.58 thousand tons of bauxite.
