ABOUT PRELIMINARY RESULT OF HARVEST

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ A preliminary result of harvest for this year has been released. According to the preliminary balance, Mongolia had planned to harvest 481.0 thousand tons grain, of which 468.8 thousand tons wheat, 208.9 thousand tons potato, 99.4 thousand tons vegetables, 28.6 thousand tons oil plants and 30.8 thousand tons fodder plants. By October 29, the field works of harvesting almost completed, and sales of grain, potato and vegetables have started in localities. Due to natural situation and factors, the expected size of wheat has reduced by 22.0 thousand tons, so the country is projected to harvest 470,218 tons grain, of which 456,862 tons wheat, 232,182 potatoes, 97,071 vegetables, 44,535 fodder plants and 20,148 oil plants.
