ACADEMICIAN R.BARSBOLD AWARDED STATE ORDER OF RUSSIA

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The Honorary Order of State of the Russian Federation (RF) has been bestowed upon academician R.Barsbold, a director of the Paleontological Institute at the Academy of Sciences (AS) pursuant to a decree of the RF President D.Medvedev. The Order is awarded to the Mongolian scholar for his contribution to strengthening the Mongolia-Russia cooperation in the fields of economy, culture and humanity. The Order was granted on Monday to R.Barsbold by Mr. V.V.Samoilenko, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Russia to Mongolia. He congratulated the scholar on receiving the supreme state prize of Russia for foreigners, and wished him success at scientific works. Expressing sincere thanks to the state of Russia for being awarded with the Order, R.Barsbold emphasized that the state prize is awarded himself prior to the 100th birth anniversary of late B.Shirendev, the very first president of the MAS. Present at this meeting were B.Enkhtuvshin, the president of the AS; B.Dorj, the vice president of the AS; A.V.Aseyev, a director of the presidium's council of the Russian's AS's Siberia branch; and other officials.
