ACT works with Thai public, private sectors against corruption

BANGKOK, September 7 (TNA) - The Anti-Corruption Organization of Thailand (ACT) has received good cooperation from the government, the private sector and civil societies in its moves against corruption cases in the country. ACT Chairman Pramon Sutivong told journalists of the development on September 6, acknowledging that ACT has raised the awareness among people and private parties to work together with the Thai government against the corruption problem in the country. The ACT chairman praised the incumbent Thai government for heeding his agency's proposals on the solution to the corruption problem. According to the ACT chairman, challenges remain regarding the end of corruption in Thailand, including mechanisms to drive forward the government's transparent policies into effective practices. "The Thai government should intensify its authority to end the weakness in the bureaucratic system in its actions against corruption in the country for the sake of a real solution to the problem", proposed the ACT chairman.
