Activities organized to observe National Teachers’ Day

BANGKOK, January 16 (TNA) - Activities marking National Teachers’ Day, which falls on every January 16, were organized across Thailand on Thursday. The Thai Ministry of Education officially organized the 58th National Teachers’ Day in Nakhon Pathom Province in the central region. Caretaker Education Minister Chaturon Chaisang presided over the National Teachers’ Day event, themed “Mother and Teacher of the Land”, in honor of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit on Thursday morning at Kanchanaphisek Wittayalai Nakhon Pathom School or Phra Tumnuk Suankularb School. The official event, also aimed at promoting and honoring teachers, was attended by over 1,000 teachers and education experts from across the country, during which they also paid respect to their teachers. Besides, the participants took their oaths to be good teachers and to guide students to become good citizens.(TNA)
