Activities prepared for Mother's Day in Thailand

BANGKOK, July 7 (TNA) - The National Council on Social Welfare of Thailand (NCSWT) has announced its readiness to organise the Mother's Day 2016 event in August across the country, also marking the auspicious occasion of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit's 84th birthday anniversary on August 12. NCSWT President Major General Khun Ying Asanee Saovapap led her NCSWT team to announce the Mother's Day 2016 event at a press conference in Bangkok on July 6. Major General Khun Ying Asanee said that NCSWT has organised the Mother's Day event for 40 years in honour of Her Majesty the Queen. The NCSWT chief stated that similar to previous years, visitors to this year's event will enjoy various activities such as concerts and the certifications of Best Mothers and Grateful Children. For this year's event, the NCSWT chief noted, a total of selected 233 "Best Mothers" and 109 "Greatful Children from across the country will be presented the honourable certifications. According to the NCSWT president, the activities will be kicked of simultaneously on August 2 in Bangkok, at the Amphorn Park near the Royal Plaza, and in all other provinces nationwide and they will mostly continued until August 12.
