Adeeb discusses with British ambassador reopening the British Council in Baghdad

Baghdad (NINA) – Higher Education Minister, Ali Al Adeeb, discussed with the British ambassador to Iraq, Michael Aron, the reopening of the British Council in Baghdad. Media office of the Ministry quoted him as saying, during reception of the British ambassador and the delegation accompanying him, “the ministry is keen on accelerating the reopening of the British Council in Baghdad in order to enable the Iraqi students sent on scholarships to get language courses inside Iraq, and to increase the number of students and professors benefiting from the council.” Adeeb added “Iraq is ready to provide every requirement to reopen the British Councl and to provide a proper land inside the Baghdad University, in addition to provide the protection for that important council.” He also stressed the necessity that the British side takes charge of convincing the British Universities with the necessity of lowering the study fees for the Iraqi students. /End/
