Advisory Council Holds Weekly Session

Doha, May 25 (QNA) - The Advisory Council held Monday its regular weekly session under HE Speaker of the Advisory Council Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khulaifi. At the outset of the meeting, HE Secretary-General of the Advisory Council Fahad bin Mubarak Al Khayareen read the agenda which was agreed upon. Then the Council endorsed the minutes of its previous session. The Advisory Council reviewed a draft law on civil defense and decided to refer it to the Internal and Foreign Affairs Committee to study it and submit a report thereon to the Council. The Council also discussed the report of the Legal and Legislative Affairs Committee on a draft law amending some provisions of the Telecommunications Law issued by Decree Law No. (34) of 2006, and decided to submit its recommendations thereon to the Cabinet.
