Advisory Council Speaker Leaves for Tehran

Doha, July 22 (QNA) - HE Speaker of the Advisory Council Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khulaifi and his accompanying delegation left Doha for Tehran on Tuesday on a visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran at the invitation of Speaker of the Islamic Parliament of Iran Dr. Ali Larijani, who is the chairman of the current Session of the Parliamentary Union of the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Member States, to participate in the Union's meeting, to be held later in the day. The meeting will discuss the current situation in Palestine and the appropriate ways to stop the Israeli brutal aggression as well as ways of delivering the necessary assistance to the trapped Palestinians. HE the Speaker of the Advisory Council was seen off upon departure at Hamad International Airport by a number of officials in the Council. (QNA)
