AEOI to build Iran's first domestic blood bank centrifuge

Tehran, May 21, IRNA - Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) will build the first blood bank centrifuge to be used by the country's Blood Transfusion Organization. Iran’s Blood Transfusion Organization says it needs 50 such devices in the country that used to be imported from other countries. The Atomic Energy Organization will produce the centrifuges domestically in a bid to meet the internal demand. Centrifuges are used by blood banks to separate out red blood cells or platelet-rich plasma from the whole blood.
