Dr Ahmed Saeed has recently moved to work as a consultant physician at the Kansas City Gastroenterology and Hepatology Physicians Group. Dr Ahmed Saeed said that AGU was the source of his scientific and professional career. During his studies, he learned modern methods which enhance students’ personalities and develop scientific knowledge thanks to the innovative education system based on problem-solving, which affords students great leadership in diagnosis and medical intervention and wide access to scientific references, as well as the university’s interest in research, conferences and scientific student forums. Dr Abdulrahman Yousif, Dean of Student Affairs at AGU expressed his pride in the international scientific achievements of AGU alumni across the world. He affirmed their competence and knowledge, which qualify them to work in major regional and global hospitals and to medically innovate in the service of humanity. “Dr Ahmed Saeed constitutes a true model of success and excellence," he said. He pointed out that the positive academic reputation established by AGU over 38 years has attracted the admiration and praise of many major universities and hospitals in Europe and America, which accept AGU students as part of their residency programs after graduation. This qualifies the students to study for specialisation and simultaneously work within the medical staff of these hospitals, to return years later and transfer their experiences and expertise to Gulf society.
