Ahmadinejad Condoles Demise Of Former Algerian President

Tehran, April 23, IRNA – President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad cabled a message on Sunday to his Algerian counterpart Abdelaziz Bouteflika to condole the demise of former Algerian president Ahmed Ben Bella. According to the Presidential website, in the message, President Ahmadinejad highlighted the struggles of the former Algerian president with colonialism and lauded the efforts of founder of National Algerian Liberation Front. The former Algerian president played a significant role in restoring national peace and tranquility and helped Algeria attain its remarkable position in the region and the globe, he said. President Ahmadinejad also expressed sympathy with the Algerian government and nation over death of the former Algerian president./end
