Airbus experts arrive at A321 crash scene in Egypt - Emergencies Ministry

MOSCOW, November 2 /TASS/. Experts of the Airbus company that designed the doomed A321 plane, which crashed over the Sinai Peninsula early on October 31, have arrived at the crash site in Egypt, Alexander Agafonov, director of the Russian Emergencies Ministry fire-fighting deparment and the head of the ministry’s operational group, told TASS by telephone. "Two groups of French and Egyptian investigators and experts have arrived at the airliner’s crash site by helicopter. The Airbus experts will examine the crash scene and record what they are going to see," Agafonov said. The A321 plane belonging to Russia’s air company Kogalymavia was flying from Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt to St. Petersburg in Russia (flight 9268) when it crashed over the Sinai Peninsula early on October 31. The plane fell 100 km to the south of Al-Arish, the administrative center of the North Sinai province. All the 224 people onboard, including 217 passengers and the 7-member crew, died. Read more
