Al Attiyah Chairs Qatari Delegation Participating in Third UN Conference in Addis Ababa

Addis Ababa, July 13 (QNA) - HE Foreign Minister Khalid bin Mohamed Al Attiyah presided over the Qatari delegation participating in the Third United Nations Conference on Financing for Development, being held in Addis Ababa from 13-16 July under the slogan "Time for Global Action" More than 19 presidents and heads of governments of various countries along with several African, Arab and international figures are participating in the conference which its program includes eight plenary sessions, roundtables and side events. The conference will focus on assessing the progress made in the implementation of the Monterrey Consensus and the Doha Declaration and identifying obstacles and constraints encountered in the achievement of the goals and objectives agreed therein, as well as the need to support the United Nations development agenda beyond 2015. It will be concluded with a negotiation document to be agreed upon between governments to support the implementation of the development agenda beyond 2015. (QNA)
