Al Attiyah Takes Part in Middle East Conference 2015

London, February 27 (QNA) - HE Chairman of Qatar's Administrative Control and Transparency Authority (ACTA) Abdullah bin Hamad Al Attiyah has affirmed that the State of Qatar since 1995, actively builds capacities for the oil , gas industry and all types of energy. HE Al Attiyah was speaking at the 2015 Middle East Conference which began here yesterday and will concluded today , focusing on three areas related to natural resources , energy and investment opportunities in Qatar. In his keynote speech before the meeting , HE Al Attiyah said that Qatar's investment aimed at expanding production capacity, covering crude oil , liquefied natural gas, refined products and petrochemical industries, noting that Qatar's investments in the energy sector during the last five years alone has exceeded $ 80 billion. He stated that the most significant infrastructure in Qatar was represented in building a new biggest facility for liquefied natural gas. ACTA Chairman said that the Qatar was the world's third largest of natural gas producer in the world ,while saying Qatar's comparative advantage is increased due to the overwhelming availability of natural gas with low production costs. The State of Qatar with the assistance and support of its international partners, successfully marketing its hydrocarbon resources, he said, citing that partnership with leading international oil companies had enabled Qatar to reach production technology , marketing and modern management , while such cooperation helped Qatar to expand production and export hydrocarbon products portfolio. The Qatari leadership was determined to create a hospitable environment for international investment, business and its conservation as well ,adding that Qatar moves forward to implement a long- term sustainable development strategy to serve welfare of its people while maintaining its strategic role as a supplier of safe, clean energy worldwide, he added. HE Qatar's Ambassador to the United Kingdom Yousf bin Ali Al Khater and Mayor of London Boris Johnson attended the conference. (QNA)
