Al Fakhoora Raises Pitch For Deaf in Middle East

Doha, September 23 (QNA) - Al Fakhoora raised the awareness pitch for the challenges deaf community faces in the Middle East at a forum jointly hosted by Qatar Charity and Al Jazeera. Al Fakhoora is a programme of Qatar-based NGO Education Above All (EAA) founded by HH Sheikha Moza bint Nasser. Sessions at the forum showcased the NGO'swork in Gaza through film, photography, presentations and panel discussions. The forum invited Al Fakhoora to present its current and future work in Gaza to help the aurally challenged people. Al Fakhoora Director Farooq Burney said, "Our work includes boosting students' skills through real life learning activities. We hope to encourage this forum's attendees to think creatively about opportunities and partnerships to further support the deaf community in Gaza and in the Middle East." (QNA)
