Al Hammadi Hails Qatar's Steps in Achieving Objectives of 'Education for All'

Sharm El Sheikh, January 29 (QNA) - HE Minister of Education and Higher Education and Secretary General of the Supreme Education Council (SEC) Dr. Mohammad bin Abdul Wahed Al Hammadi hailed the regional conference for Arab countries on education post-2015, which concluded Thursday in Sharm El Sheikh. Al Hammadi praised the organizers of the conference for the quality of preparations that resulted in its success and recommendations as it discussed ways of achieving quality education and sustainable education. The Qatari minister made the remarks at the closing of conference, which was jointly organized by UNESCO and the Egyptian Ministry of Education between Jan. 27 and 29. He said that the event discussed through workshops and roundtables all the educational issues including the best practices and trends in the presence of Arab and international experts. He said that Qatar, thanks to the directives of HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, made giant steps to achieve what it pledged to the international community and UNESCO to implement Dakar Framework for Action in 2000, stressing that Qatar has achieved high standards of the six objectives of the education for all (EFA) movement, which goes in line with Qatar National Vision 2030 and the strategy of the country's education and training sector.
