Al-Kaabi: GCC Education Undersecretaries Discuss Gulf Joint Educational Action

Doha, January 07 (QNA) - The Undersecretaries of GCC education ministries held a preparatory meeting here today ahead of the first founding meeting of the committee of GCC education ministers that will take place in Doha on Thursday. E the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education,Rabia Mohamed Al-Kaabi, who is also chairman of the preparatory meeting said that the Undersecretaries discussed all issues and topics that will be presented Thursday at meeting of GCC education ministers. Discussions during the meeting focused on the ministerial committee's specialization and the relationship of the Arab Bureau for Education in the Gulf States (ABEGS) with the GCC Secretariat General, he added, saying that these things will enhance aspects of cooperation and gulf joint educational action that will be submitted to Thursday's meeting in a form of projects for further consideration. The undersecretaries discussed several issues pertaining to GCC joint education march, GCC general secretariat's proposal on the role of the educational institution in developing the culture of volunteer work and combat smoking.
